Drone Filming for News and Live Broadcasts

When news breaks,  Halo Vue delivers fast, reliable drone filming for TV, live broadcasts, and the press.

Led by Phil Fearnley, our CAA-approved pilots capture aerial views that ground cameras simply can’t reach.

Based in the North of England, we’re ready to deploy quickly across Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, and Birmingham, ensuring every moment is caught from the perfect angle.

With our ability to capture aerial views unseen by ground cameras, Halo Vue Aerial Photography provides a rapid-response drone team ready to cover breaking news stories across the UK.

Based in the North of England, Phil Fearnley and the Halo Vue team are ideally positioned to reach Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, and Birmingham quickly — ensuring you get a drone on site fast to capture the story as it unfolds.

While en route, we identify safe take-off and landing zones and confirm CAA compliance for every operation, ensuring no flights enter restricted or no-fly areas. This preparation means we can get airborne within minutes of arrival — safely, efficiently, and fully compliant.

Our fleet of multi-sized drones is now an essential part of news gathering for both national and local broadcasters as well as the press.

The super-compact DJI Mini 5 Pro offers impressive image quality and agility for tight environments, while the DJI Mavic 4 Pro delivers longer flight times and exceptional optical zoom for getting closer to the action. For live events, the DJI Inspire 2 with its Super 35mm X7 camera provides broadcast-quality footage that rivals traditional news helicopters.

Every drone is equipped with HDMI or SDI outputs, allowing direct connection to LiveU or satellite trucks for real-time transmission. Many news teams also choose to have us capture and deliver raw footage for same-day editing and inclusion in their broadcast packages.
